Hindraf legal adviser P Uthayakumar has been warded at the Taiping general hospital for dehydration since Thursday.
Hewas warded four days after beginning a hunger strike at the Kamuntingdetention centre. He was held at the detention centre with four otherHindraf leaders under the Internal Security Act.
Author of this video, S Jayathas said Uthayakumar was under heavy security and is chained to the bed despite being "very weak".
Since Thursday, several dozen well-wishers have been holding vigil at 6.30pm everyday near the ward.
